what is an osteopath?

You may be asking "What is an Osteopath?". I will try to answer that for you...

An Osteopath is a therapist who manipulates the skeleton and muscles, by rubbing, kneading, pushing and pulling various parts of the body to stimulate the blood supply which acts as a catalyst to help your body heal itself.

Osteopathy is a Manual Therapy and the name was first used by Dr Andrew Taylor Still in 1874. It embraces the concept of treatment of the Mind, Body and Spirit as an integrated unit and he believed the body possessed a Self-Healing Mechanism that has the capacity to repair itself.

So that is my short answer to "What is an Osteopath?"
